Story
In 2000 whilst William was ill, his Grandmother Elizabeth painted her annual Christmas card for family & friends, with William in mind the picture took shape as William flying a kite…one of his favourite things! However, with artistic licence this kite became an angel … No one knew we would lose William on Dec 12th that year. A friend had the idea to print 100,000 cards at a local printer to sell for Williams Fund, Angie organised it all and was fantastic in taking delivery (that’s a lot of boxes, especially when you add the envelopes!) and gathering friends to sit counting the cards and envelopes into packs … a lot of coffee was drunk! The cards sold out… and the legacy from Elizabeth began…
The cards are still counted and packed by friends at the annual ‘card packing’ sessions and we still use the same local printer (TPC) who look after us very well & deal with all the overprinting direct! The bags are kindly donated by Weldbank Plastics…Who’s bags are all recyclable.

All proceeds go to to our research in Oxford … so it’s a bit like giving a donation and getting some wonderful Christmas cards as a thank you!
We do believe in keeping in touch with friends & family at Christmas, so sending a card with news and maybe a photo is a great way to keep connected…in a more personal way!

These are packed from old stock and will be the last William’s Fund cards available…!
You are welcome to stock up for years to come… the prices reflect the fact these are old stock but the quality remains the same. Hand packed by the family in lock-down!
*As our events and fundraising came to an abrupt halt we need to keep the money coming in to keep our researchers funded and secure…
All good things must come to an end … after 19 years of wonderful designs by William’s Grandmother we have decided to stop printing new cards. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who has supported these cards … and we’re very sad to be closing this chapter.
We miss Elizabeth every day but we know she was incredibly proud of the contribution her designs attained…and of the fan base! You can keep spreading the love by sending the remaining cards for years to come!
