So here it is Merry Christmas, everybody’s having fun!
Time for goodwill to all and to let you know what we’ve done!
In reverse… Kevin, (Henry) passed his International Baccalaureate & is now commuting to London
6th form IB Diploma at Westminster Academy, 7.29 train, suit, can this be No.3 Son?
He’s cheeky, lazy, funny, slightly weird, affectionate, friendly & finding himself!
Happy dressed as a penguin to help the cause and works intermittently for a bit of wealth!
Lucinda is happy in year 2 at Leicester Uni, house of 8 girls, cushions & fairy lights,
Very different to Edwards old house of boys, indescribable smells and ghastly sights!
Lucinda plays hockey, gyms and swims, off on Uni tour soon with hockey and ski
Then next summer to Long Beach Uni, California to study a year of her degree,
Edward finished his Masters in October and now has a job in recruitment in Hull
Keeping up his ‘Lucid Moves’ music interests, living with lads, his life is never dull
We miss them both but it’s good to see them happy, healthy and doing well
Those fancy-dress outfits and outrageous clothes… oh what a story they could tell!
Peter’s retired, for real this time! Cycling when it’s dry, swimming when wet
Planning months in Mallorca, lycra is the new suit… the challenge? How fit can he get?!
He’s done a few William’s Fund things too, a fashion show talk and exhibition stand
When not directing operations at home (?!) he’s relaxing & helping if I need a hand.
We had a fabulous holiday in Kos once more, great to be all together again
Now it’s harder to coordinate family trips, but there will always be Spain!
Dad took me on a river cruise! A first for both of us! A week on the historic Danube. Cheers!
A lot of enormous locks, great trips & fun, we lowered the average age by a few years!!
I also had a wonderful week crewing a yacht with family in the Ionian Sea.
Admiral Dad, Skipper Matthew, 1st Mate Graham, Cook Tracey, Muscle Sam & dogsbody Me!
A fabulous adventure, sailing, SUP boarding, swimming, fooling around, exploring together
Such a treat to have Dad, brothers, a boat, dressing up kit, time and fabulous weather!
We’ll be heading for a different experience on 30th for skiing, hopefully snow and a bit of sun,
Peter, Henry and I…We’ll miss Lucinda & Edward a lot…from 3 children down to one!
William’s Fund has had a fantastically busy, exciting year,
New initiatives such as easyfundraising (you are on it?!) bring our £1m target near
Ma’s Christmas card was voted in the top 5 by Liz Earle, the new BB penguin card sold out,
I even opened a shop…cut the ribbon I did! We will have more penguin collaborations no doubt!
We’ve been in magazines, on the radio, at an art exhibition and a fitness class,
Golf days, even in Devon! 21 Sun salutations & The Ball, organised by 4 gentlemen, now that was class!
We need to get to £1 million, we’ve got £900,000 so far, The Christmas cards are selling well, always thinking of Ma
There’s lots of pictures & news on our William’s Fund Facebook page, follow us on Instagram too.
Links to easyfundraising, sign up on the website for our informative emails, we only send a few!
Special thanks to those who support William’s Fund near and far, you know who you are!
Please spread the William’s Fund word via social media, online, parties, in the bar or the car!
Wherever your Christmas will be this year, we send you lots of love
We’ll be home, joined by the children, Dad; and Wills and Ma from up above
We think they would be very proud, and we’ll all be at Will’s Place Carol service, singing loud!
Can’t wait for the noise, mess, music and banter, so bring it on family and come on down Santa!
With love as always to you all, from Johanna, Peter, Edward (24) Lucinda (19) & Henry (16)
