Just to be clear you don’t HAVE to bring anything in order to come. It is great if you have any clothes, bags, shoes, scarves in great condition, but if you don’t please don’t let that stop you from coming. You will be most welcome
Niki has previously mentioned the book by Victoria Lochhead – Sustainable Personal Stylist – Frankie and Ruby, In The Jumble, here are a few tips from the book and a couple from Niki to help you when you come:-
1. Fit – try the clothes on. Pre-worn clothes may well have stretched or shrunk so ignore the labels and try them on
2. Check the fabric, the best quality are not man-made
3. Washing instructions – if it’s dry clean only is it worth having if its going to cost £10 every time you wear it
4. Quality – I will be checking this, there shouldn’t be anything on display that is worn out, has holes or any marks but do check anyway
5. Think – what will this go with in my wardrobe? How many ways can I wear it?
6. If it’s right, snap it up quickly as there will only be one of everything!
Your tickets will entitle you to 3 free items, + you can buy additional items for a small fee for William’s Fund. There will be lots to choose from!
